FDCAuctionCentral Respects Your Right To Privacy

Your Privacy is very important to us. FDCAuctionCentral actively promotes a safe and secure environment in which to conduct Internet business. FDCAuctionCentral is a licensee of the TRUSTe program, which promotes fair information practices regarding personally identifiable information at Web Sites. To demonstrate our solid commitment to your privacy FDCAuctionCentral has requested that TRUSTe review and audit our privacy practices

TRUSTe is an independent, non-profit initiative whose mission is to build users' trust and confidence in the Internet by promoting the principles of disclosure and informed consent. Because FDCAuctionCentral wishes to demonstrate its commitment to your privacy, we have agreed to disclose our information practices and have our privacy practices reviewed and audited for compliance by TRUSTe. We may change or update this policy as necessary to inform you of any changes or updates in the way we handle or store your information. Notification of changes to this policy will be posted on our site for public view, and considered effective 30 days from the date notification is posted.

1.Our Collection of Your Information

The following explains what type of personally identifiable information we collect about you, and when such information is collected.

A. In order to use the services we provide at FDCAuctionCentral, you must complete and submit our registration form. On our registration form, you are required to provide us with true and correct information about yourself, such as your full name, correct street address, contact phone number, and a verifiable email address.

We collect and may store in a file related to you the following additional information as well:

A. Sellers, If you place your credit card on file with us, for automatic billing of your monthly invoice, your credit card number, credit card billing address, and credit card expiration date will be stored on our system in a secure encrypted format.
B. Email or inquiries that you send us, or are sent by others to us regarding your use of or activities on or related to our site.
C. Any messages that you post, or are posted about you on our site via our public chat lounges or through the user to user feedback system.

2. Collection of Your Information by Third Parties

Should you choose to disclose any part of your information to third parties either within or outside the scope of our system, you may be subjected to different rules regarding their use of, or disclosure of your personal information.

Our policy only addresses the use and disclosure of information we collect from you. To the extent that you disclose your information to other parties, whether they are bidders, buyers or sellers on our system or other sites throughout the Internet, different rules may apply to their use or disclosure of the personal information you disclose to them. To the degree that we use third party advertisers, those parties sustain their own privacy policies and practices. Since FDCAuctionCentral does not control the privacy policies of third parties, you are subject to the privacy policies and practices of such third party. You should always ask questions before choosing to reveal any part of your personal information to other parties, whether individual, company, or group.

3. How we use Your Information The following describes how we use the personally identifiable information that we collect from you.

Communications -we may use any or several portions of your information to contact you via email, mail, or telephone in respect to matters involving your use and activity of the site such as bidding, selling, and posting to our lounge boards.

Automated Email - the email address you supply is used by our system to send automated email messages which are generated from the use of the site. These include registration confirmation, listing confirmations, bidding notifications, end of auction notices, personal auction reminders, suspension notices, and requests for additional contact information for another user.

Your User ID and email address are used to track your current and previous activity on the site as well as assist us in resolving any problems you may be having within the site, or to aid us in enforcing our User Agreement.

4. Automatic User Recognition

This section explains how our system "Remembers You" automatically, after entering in your User Id only once per session on our site.

A. Once you have entered in your User Id anywhere on our site that requires such information (Bidding, Selling, Requesting User Information etc.) our program will recognize your User Id, and therefore "follow you" from page to page within our site. This will eliminate the need for you to continually enter your UserId elsewhere within the site. You will however, always be required to enter your password to perform any type of registered user functions. This recognition will take place "behind the screens" and only your UserId will become visible in any areas where UserId is required. You will still be required to enter your Password in all areas that are only available to Registered Users.
B. Your User Id will be saved using a "Cookie" once you enter it. This way, after you enter your User ID once, you will not have to enter it again any time again during that session. The password field will remain blank at all times for your protection and you will be required to enter your password every time you would like to perform any function that is only available to registered users.
C. In order for our System to remember your UserId while you are using our site, your browser must be set to "Accept Cookies". If your browser is set to Not Accept Cookies, then our system will be unable to remember your User Id.

5. How we Disclose Your Information

At no time do we sell, rent, or lease to any third party, your personally identifiable information.

End of Auction notices

At the end of an auction in which you are the seller or winning bidder, your UserId and email address is included in the automatic end of auction email we send to both parties.

Requesting additional contact information

Registered users may request additional contact information about each other via email. Contact information for sellers is available by clicking the "offered by" link on any item being offered by the seller.

Your bidding, selling, feedback, and posting activity

Others to view your bidding, selling, posting or feedback profile activity throughout the site can use your UserId or your email address. This includes items you are currently selling, or have sold, auctions in which you have currently, or previously bid on, feedback comments left about you, your feedback rating, and posts you have made in any public forum on our site.

Because of potential circumstances outside of our control, we are unable to guarantee, or make promise that your information will remain private. We do however use industry standard measures to help safeguard your information and privacy.

We may disclose information about you to any government, or law enforcement agency as it is requested, and therefore we may be obligated to do so.

6. How you may use Other Users Information

Our system allows registered users to access certain information about other registered users on the site. The following outlines how you may or may not use information about other registered users that is available to you on our site.

Your use of and rights to use this information is limited to the guidelines stated herein, and anywhere within this entire Privacy Policy.

Any personally identifiable information which you obtain about another registered user, either by request, or as the result of a FDCAuctionCentral related transaction or communication, is to be used solely for purposes directly related to your use or the other parties use of the FDCAuctionCentral web site and our services.

The following actions regarding your use or distribution of another users personally identifiable information are prohibited.

Sending unsolicited commercial email to another registered user.(Spam)

Selling, renting, or distributing a users email address, or any part of their personally identifiable information.

Posting personally identifiable information about another user in any public message board or forum.

Adding another users email or physical address to your database or address list without that users express permission to do so. If you have received such permission from a user, you must present them with the option to be removed from such database or list. This includes users who may have purchased items from you previously.

Abuse of your ability to access personally identifiable information about other users, may result in the termination of your registration and account.

7. Your use of Email Services we Provide

FDCAuctionCentral provides you with the following email services within the site. The following outlines the conditions under which these services may be used.

Email this auction to a friend

This service is to be used only to forward information to someone whom you know and are familiar with, that agrees to receive such information from you. This service is not to be used for purposes of sending unsolicited commercial e-mail (SPAM). If another user requests that you no longer use this service to send them email regarding auctions, you must honor that request and discontinue such use of the service. We do not use the email addresses you enter for any purpose other than to forward your email to the user whom you are requesting such mail be sent to. Once you have submitted the request, any email address you have entered is deleted from our system.

8. Password Security

You may not disclose, share, or distribute your password to any third party. If you feel your password has been jeopardized, you may change your password at any time, and as often as you wish. As an added security measure, we suggest changing your password periodically, in an effort to better maintain control over your information.

9. Making Changes to Your Personal Information on File

You may make changes to or edit your personally identifiable information, which you have provided by completing the registration process. Your changes must contain information that is true and correct.

You may change or edit the following portions of your personally identifiable information on file with us.

Credit Card information

If you have placed a credit card on file with us, you may change or update your credit card information. You may also request that we remove your credit card information from our system and your account. Please note that if you used your credit card for verification purposes to register on FDCAuctionCentral using a free email address, your account will terminate upon such removal unless you place a different credit card on file to your account. If at the time you request your credit card information to be removed and you account is in dispute, such information will be kept on file until the dispute has been settled.

Your email address and Password

You may change your e-mail address or password, or both, at any time, and at your discretion.

Your personal contact information

You may change or update your name, address information, country, contact phone number, fax number and other information about you.

Please note that the comments or postings that you place through our Public lounges, message boards, or feedback system, may contain personal information as you chose to disclose are not able to edit or delete, any messages or postings that you placed in our public forums or other public message board areas, or comments you have left about other users through our feedback system.

You are responsible for the information or comments you post publicly about yourself or others. Please use good judgement and common sense before making such posts.

10. Site Security

FDCAuctionCentral uses industry standard technologies to protect the confidentiality of your personally identifiable information, such as data encryption, Secure Socket Layers(SSL) and firewalls. Because 100 percent guaranteed security is not achievable via the Internet, you should not expect that your information might not be disclosed to outside parties.

11. In General

This Privacy Policy has been incorporated into and is by all means subject to all terms and conditions of the FDCAuctionCentral User Agreement.

12. Eligibility / Registration

To use our services, you must be at least 18 years of age, and be able to form or enter into, a legally binding contract in accordance with all applicable laws. If you are a minor, please do not attempt to use our services. If you are eligible to use our services, you must complete the registration process by providing FDCAuctionCentral with true and correct information as required on the FDCAuctionCentral registration form.
